Mobile application Horská služba (Mountain Rescue Service)

The application offers a wealth of information. The current snow and weather reports, a guide to Czech ski resorts and mountain rescue service centers as well as the manual on how to provide  first aid. The main feature will help if you get into an emergency situation and need to call for help. The application was developed for the Mountain Rescue Service ČR, partner is Česká pojišťovna (Czech Insurance company).

• Quick call for help with localization of the caller

  • The main feature of the application is easy and quick contact with the nearest mountain rescue service in the case of emergency. Functionality does not depend on the availability of a data signal, but works with GPS localization.

  • The app also allows you to send an emergency SMS to the mountain rescue service with your precise location.

• Information about Czech ski resorts and mountain rescue service stations

  • The application also helps to locate ski resorts, provides basic information on current snow conditions, avalanche danger and weather in a particular location.

  • The app can also find the nearest mountain rescue service station according to the current location of the user as well as to show the phone number and operating hours.

• Practical advice and information

  • The application includes an information section with the 10 commandments of the mountain rescue service, advice how to provide the first aid, rules of riding the slopes and  instructions on how to prevent the risk of avalanche in certain areas.
